London, England: 5,399 miles

Thanks to technology our Flat Stanley zipped around the world and back! He stopped to visit a friend in London, England and returned with some great information. Our new friend Ruby wrote about London and some personal favorites:

-The distance from London to Qingdao is 5,399 miles which is about 8,638 km.
-The capital of England is London which is located at 51° 5´ altitude and 0° longitude.
-In London, it is winter now and rains frequently. The temperature is 5.1°C ~ 10.04°C.
-Famous places in London that I visited are The British Museum, The National Gallery, Big Ben, Tower Bridge, Buckingham palace, Hyde Park, Greenwich Observatory, and Royal Albert Hall. The British Museum is near my home and I often go there. Royal Albert Hall is a very big hall and a good place to enjoy listening to music. Big Ben is a big clock tower in the Parliament. The National Gallery has many pictures. Hyde Park is a very big park. Buckingham palace is the place in which Queen of England lives. Queen Elizabeth often goes to Winsor Castle which is another place of living. Tower Bridge is a big bridge of history.
-Greenwich Time is standard time of the world.
-Sports Cricket, football, Netball, Dancing
-Books The snow king, The storm castle, Hot dog (Oxford Reading tree)
-Television programs The story of Tracy Beaker, Horrid Henry, Take a bow, Arthur
-My school is St. George the Martyr CE Primary School. In my school there are 6 classes, each for six years. My class is Year 4 and called class 4 or King William IV which consists of 22 students.
